Laptop Program

While at UIW you’ll  use many computer applications in your courses to enable you to learn how to collaborate, communicate, and flexibly apply your skills to meet the challenges of your academic career.

If you choose to purchase a Dell computer through the university (the preferred option) at the Dell esource website, we will equip the computer with a full range of software, including antivirus software, anti-spyware software, and an assortment of Microsoft Office programs and tools.   

Technically speaking, this software belongs to the university, since its use falls within our Microsoft campus site license. When you leave UIW, you should remove the university-owned software from the laptop, since the laptop becomes yours at that point.

Not to worry, though - as a UIW student, you are authorized to purchase a full range of software at inexpensive prices at: http://www.camputtech.com/studentselect. Check it out. The Dell Resource site has been created for the University of the Incarnate Word to offer systems and peripherals at special discounted prices.

To qualify for these purchases and savings, you must be a current student or employee at the University of the Incarnate Word, Incarnate Word High School, or St. Anthony's Catholic High School.
