Classroom Technology
Tech 0 – TV only
- Provides video display through TV monitor(s) only
Tech 1 – Data Projector and Screen
- Provides viewing via external device (e.g. Laptop)
Tech 2 – Data Projector, Screen, PC w/monitor, DVD Combo, Sound, Laptop connectivity
- Includes video projection capability in addition to computer data projection. Audio capabilities are by way of PC and DVD combo. Laptop connectivity is also provided via available VGA cable.
Tech 3 – Everything in T2 and/or including a Polyvision Interactive Touch Panel
- Touchpanel allows interactive control through Power Point Presentations. Instructor’s may use the stylus to highlight key points, annotate their presentation or use the intuitive remote control from anywhere in the room as while teaching.
Tech 4 – Quick Media Classroom
- Quick Media technology that enables viewing of multiple PC and Video technology.
Tech 5 – Presentation Video Room w/ Plasma Monitors
- “Break-Out Session” Rooms designed intuitively for academic observation of “Crestron Deluxe” rooms via Plasma monitors. In addition, input access for external devices are also accommodated.
Tech 6 – Crestron Deluxe
- Rooms that feature a start of the art Creston touch-panel that allows complete AV control and functionality of the classroom via the Instructor’s console. The Creston control system monitors and manages data projectors, screens, cameras and audio.
Videoconferencing at UIW
Room 144 of the J.E. & L.E. Mabee Library is equipped with a videoconferencing system. The purpose of the system is to support both the academic and administrative videoconferencing needs on the main campus of UIW. The system is available for

- Professional Development
- Administrative activities
The Office of Instructional Technology will assist faculty and staff with finding appropriate resources and configuring the technical details of the videoconference session.
